Was up some place in D6. Found a good spot for the nite way back in the woods . Just a turn around like spot. Could not have a camp fire so we was pretty board. Got this idea to put a coke can down the dirt trail with a flash light shinning on it and try to get it with our air rifles. Was a very safe place. Shot the can for a while ,so I went up to retrive it got the can and started back and there was a large dog sitting in the road maybe 15 yards from charlie .Charlie had his back to it getting something out of his truck. I almost said come here boy.But when it got up and turned around and started walking the other way It was no dog but the worlds biggest lion. For some reason I took off after it yelling at it .Charlie yells out whats going on ,I say theres a lion . He goes bull (dog). So he grabs his rifle ,Im trying to keep it in the flash lights ,had two of those supper bright things. We are yelling at it and throwing stuff at it while its just walking circling our camp site. That thing looked as big as a school bus. Looked like a over fed house cat . Was well over 10,000 lbs. Was taking a little too much time to get around our camp so charlie gives it a warning shot right behind it. Its gone . Spend the next few minutes scanning the brush for eyes ect. Then around walk past our trucks and another one is walking past our camp . It stops and looks at us like nothings going on just lalygadding down the street. We start yelling at it this time Charlie shoots behind it right away. Its gone. Stay up for at least an hour looking for eyes ect. Had all alvalible lites on looking. Two spot lights and all flash lites.I did not sleep in my tent . Never will again. Got me thinking How many times I walked that road with just a stick and string. Kinda cool and funny now but when it was going on WOW Talk about a rush.
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.
