I got the itch again! Upper suggestions.

I have two 30.06 rifles, a model 70 & a 742. I also have a 30/30 lever gun. And too many .22s (if that's possible). I also have a nice .243!!
I've been looking at a .17 HMR by Alexander Arms, along with their 6.5 Grendel. But I'm just undecided about it all. Honestly, I'm not really interested in another .223 upper.
Was wondering what you all would suggest? I was thinking about buying a complete upper, but I do have a stripped Spikes also... Trying to keep this moderately priced, like under $6/0?
Thoughts?

I really like the 6.5 Grendel. Or maybe a 6x45 (6mm bullet in 223 case) would be nice with some 75gr or 87gr V-max's. One of these days I'll build an AR and these are my top 2 choices. 6.8 is cool too, but I think the 6.5G is a little better.
I'm not on board with the 300 Blackout crowd (.308 bullet in 223 case), would prefer a 7.62x39 over the blackout.

I have a D-Tech 243 WSSM upper that works great on coyotes.

The more I look I'm leaning towards the Alexander Arms 17HMR.

That thing is expensive! For a .17hmr.
I agree.
I have a savage 17 hmr and that thing is a miniature sniper rifle. Out to 200 yards I could shoot the nuts off a fly and it was only $180 at the time. I suggest getting a bolt action 17 hmr.

Real tractors have two cylinders and hand clutches.
My rifle is mine, it isn't for sale, and I only give guns to people that I really like.

I like the olympic cartridge but I"m not a big fan of their rifles. I have though about building an upper for that cartridge but haven't really committed to it.A .450 bushmaster would be a lot of fun. The one I reaaalllyyy want is the .300 Olympic. It's a WSSM case necked up to take a .308 caliber bullet.
