Then...
How can Cabellas & Bass Pro sell so many on those types of bows if they can't hit the broad side of a barn?
I've seen your handy craft over the years...and I still can't figure out how you creep up on those critters.

Most hunters who bowhunt that I have talked to only pick it up to extend their seasons, as soon as they get the chance they change to a gun.....again that's most...

And I will be shooting my bow.
I don't know where this kid got his facts,
but I hope we didn't scare him away.

This kid made 3 posts then never came back
Dave, he was a flash in the pan. He apparently already knew everything so he didn't need our help. He wouldn't want to hear anything from us as we are obviously ignorant and his facts were correct.

OK Bisley say something.
I'm still a little too scared to to say anything after the other day when you were talking about concealing your bow while wearing just a loin cloth and blue paint!
hahaha. Only in the movies are crossbows silent. They are typically louder than a compound bow.
The Hell you say! Next thing you know you're going to tell me that revolvers don't hold 18 rounds and lever actions don't hold 50 rounds! Or that the old single actions that were carried with one chamber empty can't still shoot 6 rounds

Crossbows do have good power but they are not quiet even with limb and string silencers. One of my hunting buddies shoots a 70lb compound and it's a little quieter than my crossbow. He's also very accurate. It's all about the shooter. He practices often and it shows.
If you want quiet, try a compound between 40 and 50 lbs with string and limb silencers.
