It was my mid back,Back issues can be really bad! Which vertebrae did you break? Mine are T12 and L1. They have long since fused themselves together and I have very little to no issues with it.
but I did more damage by working for
two years not knowing it was broke,
and one more year of work after I knew it was broke.
That is when I couldn't work any more.
Now after 2 1/2 years I can function with bearable pain.

Can of pepsi, bottle of water. snack. gun ,shells,( hand calls... jack rabbet,cottentail and a squeeky call) And a small camera.
Lean up to tree get comfy ,make a few calls .Shut eyes take nap. When I here somthing open eyes and shoot yote. Not all the time most of the time its a bird or squerril or rabbit but thay might get shot too.. I go to relax . I do not get all stressed out on yotes. I hunt deer about the same way. But stalk more but I enjoy where Im at more than really killing anything. But bagging game is a big plus.Keep it simple and have fun. Leave the stress at work or home... No cell phone or watch. Ill get back when Im back...

Tom, I'm glad you are doing better. They wanted to do surgery on mine and my dad talked me out of it and I'm sure glad he did. I was in a Kydex brace for three months and was back to work (at the time) as a heavy diesel mechanic within six or so months. I lost an inch in height but at 6'4" I could afford it 
Now, don't try to get away! I am more muscular, more cunning, faster, and larger than you are, and I am a genius. Why you could hardly pass the entrance examinations to kindergarten.
