Sunday was my first time really going out since april. It all started saturday night around 10 when me and my buddy were out trying to locate some dogs with my foxpro firestorm. We wernt getting any responces and were starting to get a little discouraged. It wasn't till around 1:30 while laying in the truck getting a little sleep that all of a sudden it was like someone turned on a switch and they were everywhere...we had numerous dogs in every direction...that changed our mood real Quick.....Sunday morning about 30 minutes before shoot time we got into our stand....we set out the call and settled in...shoot time came around and started the lightning jack....it wasnt more than two minutes later and here one comes on a dead run...came right into the call and stopped....(my buddy has the shotgun and I have the 22-250) his view was blocked by a small piece of sage brush...long story short at 15 yards the 22-250 does some damage...first dog down. We waited a little with pup in destress going but nothin came in...walked about 400 yards and sat down again...put on lightning jack and waited after about 20 minutes in,out of no where there was a smaller dog right next to the call..two shots from my buddy and another dog was down...it was starting to get hot so we called it a day both dogs were males.pics wouldn't upload

There is no shoot time on coyotes you can take them day or night. Glad you were able to get a couple.

Unless you are in Monterey or San Benito county east of the 101. But other than that you are good to go 24hrs a day.

A lot of other county ordinances to refer to. Also deer seasons in certain zones.

Dont forget about Riverside county. No discharging at night, but you CAN hunt.

Good job on the yotes. Really gets the blood pumping when you hear them calling all around you doesn't it.

Where is this? Not asking for your spot, just want to clarify whether or not you can night hunt where you were.

I have not read the night hunting regs in quite a while but the southern end of the SJ valley use to be closed for night hunting because of the Kit Fox zone.
