You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

Had to refocus my bifocals two was 50 yards out giving me the stare down. Seconds later they was out of site. Never seen them come in. Went and played with the fuzzies in the heat of the day.

Went to that place that I mis one a few weeks back. Set up the twins and rocky. Did some dog death screams and yips ect. Thinking He will pop out of the olives go down the dirt road cut across to my decoys. See movement to my left. He's coming in the wrong way and down wind. Slows at about seventy yards but still coming in gets to fourty and stops. Looking at the decoys he lowers his head and in he comes. Runs past me and the aarrow hits its mark. He goes down spinning gets up and flop. Wont be tracking him far.

Im not sure what he was thinking about the stuff puppies but he did come in to check them out. Could be that theres a whole bottle of doe in heat on them and some rabbit blood and juice on them also. They do not ride inside. Been using a decoy to stop them not realy to lure them in. Scared too many off with the ones bouncing all over the place. A stinky rag might work just as good. This way of getting them is like starting hunting them all over again.

The decoys are a crack up....but they obviously work. The yotes in SoCal have been known to lurk in the bushes around townhomes/condos front door steps. They hang out real early in the morning waiting for little morsels to be released by thier coffee drinking owners. The snatch and grap of the sofa doggies (just like your decoys) happens in mili-seconds.

What's Next:
I expect to see you tossing those decoys out on a deep sea fishing rod.
Send pictures of you trolling through the orchard with those decoys poppin and bobbin at the end of some 100lb test line. :rofl2:

Rob I already thought of trolling for them. It works on the cats around here. (No hooks) But you can real them in they do not want to let go. :P

That is so awesome. I'm going to pick up a recurve as soon as I sell some gear to fund it. My son and I went archery shooting a few weeks ago, and they had us do a test where at 20 yards you have to shoot 36 arrows and get at least 30 in the "yellow" zone of the target. I'm not sure but I think the bows were only 30-40 pound pull. We both shot 32/36 and got a pass. It was really fun. I'm thinking it would be great to get a recurve because I could also use it to bow fish for carp and they recently opened up a few lakes in my area to bow fishing. Anyhow, it would be a long while before we had YOUR skills on coyotes!

damn i still cant believe you hunt coyotes with a bow and arrow, thats as primal as is gets.
That was great shot placement on a moving target (i assume, since he was coming in to the pups)
Great shot.
