Saw a doe or maybe two does 3 times this weekend, once with a fawn...couldn't get pics of them, too slow with the camera, but they were very red colored. Never seen deer like that. We got pictures of some others (pictures tomorrow night probably) but they were your normal brown...

Alot of times deer in poor body condition will be red, fat deer have almost a blue color to them. Ed

Ive seen many different colored mulies- recently hunting an area burned out about 5 years ago and they were almost black.

We see quite a few red colored deer around here in the A-Zone and D-13 Zone.

Red is the summer color. They turn to brown at the end of Sept and gray later on when it is time to shoot them.
