Yesterday I was reloading some .243 ammo.
Somehow I got a bullet stuck in the die, I removed the screw by turning it all the way through the die,
because it cannot be removed through the top.
My problem was, that trying to get it started from the bottom was a bitch,
so I took an old bullet, welded a welding rod onto it, so I could have enough lenth to
get the screw threads started.
Worked out great.

I heated the bullet with a hand torch, and melted a silver solder rod on to it,
Yes, the lead poured out first, so I had to be fast.

So you soldered it onto the welding rod. Now explain to me how you use it Tom.

Tawnoper,
The screw has threads on one end, and a hollow part to hold the bullet on the other end.
The part that holds the bullet is larger than the threaded part.
It will only pass threw the bottom of the die.

the welding rod with bullet will hold onto the screw to turn it,
sense you can not get your fingers into the die to turn the screw.
