I received this flyer and request from daughter of Mr. Nies. She is asking for any help in finding her father.

I am writing to ask you to post this flyer about my dad on your forum. My dad went
coyote hunting TUE 8/7/12 and has not been seen or heard from since then. If your
hunting community would keep your eye out for his truck or my dad, my family and I
would really appreciate it.

Thank you so much for posting this flyer to help Trinity Search & Recovery to find
my dad. If the truck is found, please contact Barstow PD (Detective Libby) at
760-256-2211 or have them contact Mike Melson at Trinity Search and Recovery at
925-918-3669 if they are able to help in the search for my dad and/or his truck.

If I was in that area and knew it really well. I would go out and help. But no since, having two people lost out there. I would be scared to take my heavy dodge diesel p.u. out in the soft sand that I figure is in that area. Would not want to go out there with out a rig set up for it. People that know the area should be able to track a vehicle down there I would think. That is if they knew where to start looking. Hope this comes out OK, but the truth is that poor guy has been out there a long time already for hot weather. I think any family or friend that is thinking rationally knows this also. But like I said I would help if I knew the area and law enforcement would allow it. I have been in similar situations and understand at least the need for closure. God Bless this man and his family.

The thing that kills me about this is they ended the search so soon. No sign of his truck or him. I kind of know that area but it is so vast. They also listed a few places he could have gone and they are all over the place. Some north of Fort Irwin, som south. I wouldn't know where to begin. The news paper reporter running the story is even thinking of a follow up till hi's been missing a week or so. Very sad indeed.

I want to thank all of you for your prayers and if you was out looking, thank you for spending the time looking for a lost brother. Someone found him today. What I have heard he was found on or near copper mine rd out in newberry springs. He high sided his 4x4 and decided to get out and slipped & fell and hit his head on a rock. His truck, gun, money, wallet, & phone was all there. Thank you to the awesome individual that found Paul! He was probably less than 20 miles from home! Thanks again my hunting brothers!

Not meaning this to sound callus, But I hope to die doing something I love! Having seen many die in retirement centers this did not look like a bad way to go. I still feel for his family, But If I go the same way don't feel bad for me. DR

DR, Count me in on that thinking.
What would you rather see on your last day in life: a nursing home orderly coming into your room with a fresh diaper, or your gun laying six feet away with a snorting grizzly another six feet beyond the gun?
If I am destined to leave this world with poo in my pants, please let it be with the grizzly bear.

I feel different. I would rather die at home with my family close at hand. I have done the "dying doing while
Doing something that I love" bit. It sucks. My purse sainer rolled in the middle of the night by Santa rosa and all I could think about was my wife and how
She
Was going to feel not knowing.
R.i.p. my heart goes out to the family.
