Here's hoping the rest of the season won't be so busy-

Hunting should be done drug and alcohol free, too many risks involved to take chances. Why now ait until the hunt is over to enjoy a well deserved beer? People always need something to "make things interesting or more funn" Bull poop. Drink in the comfort of your house or bar but leave the hunting for the real men who can go 12 hours without a beer.
Glad your ok man, rounds have a funny way of hitting things miles away.
Better luck somewhere else, bad karma there.

You would think that would be the first thing they should
remember from hunters safety class.
I took mine (Hunters Safety) more than 55 years ago, and they even STRESSED it then.
I will be hunting d5 this weekend, I hope they don't get drunk and start flinging arrows.
But then, I don't think there will be to many people where I hunt.

Ace- I am sorry to hear about your opening weekend. This is my first time going out on opening weekend since I was younger. I remember it being something like what you described (minus the gunshot wound). I hope that person recovers fully but that the experience sits with the group forever. I also wish you the best of luck for the rest of the season-
