You are a better man than I am, Bob... I'm also waiting for cooler temps before I attempt to look for ole wiley; being a wuss & all.
Your 55 gr non lead sounds like it did a great job, especially for hitting low?! What are your thoughts on its (first) performance? Will you use them again? Inquiring minds and all.

Frank, I plan on using the Nosler Lead Free BT 55 gr bullets unless I get a bunch of runners. They shoot pretty dang good out of my 243 Win. I need to raise them up a little they are only hitting about a 1/2" high at 100 yards.
I reloaded some shells with 40 gr of IMR 4064 and some with 40 gr of Varget. The Varget loads shot better so I reloaded some more shells with 41 gr of Varget. I shot 6 of those shells at a 1" dot on a paper plate at 100 yards. The first shot hit the right side of the dot , the second shot hit the left side of the dot. I was not happy that I had shot two shots and my group was 1" wide. So I shot four more shots real quick, these four shots were all touching each other in the center of the 1" dot. So the last four shots looked great!
I am not very good at shooting at paper so I don't do it much. Most of the coyotes I have shot couldn't tell if they were shot with a rifle that shoots a 3/8" group all day long or if they were shot with a rifle that can only shoot a 1" group when the barrel is cool.
