I don't own one but several of my buddies have them and only one had a problem with his but covered by warranty. I think his boat was just too big/heavy and he was putting to big of a load on it in big swells. The rest of my buddies love them with no problems. 2 of the guys never go in the salt and 2 use them in the salt almost exclusively. Don't think you can go wrong with the Yammy.

I have used one since 2003 on a 9000 lb boat for a kicker it works great. it just sat for a year and fired right up .only problem was a broken shift cable
