Here's a couple of more that I finished up, the open reed has a CA finish and the closed is a laquer finish.

Really cool looking calls JB.
How do you use the open reed calls compared to a closed reed call?
Do you have to cup your hand more around reed to get the same sounds?

That open reed is a beautiful finish. I like dark stained woods.

The closed reed looks just like a miniature bowling pin. I like it!

Ron, i just inherited a lathe that was my grandpa's so i'll have to give this a try...i'm sure it's really easy! LOL NIce work...ain't nothin' wrong with some American Made Garage Calls. Very Cool!
