I am planning on hunting A zone this year, I haven't hunted it in years, too darn hot. I have a friend that I always hunted above Clear Lake with. (Pitney ridge area) We are going up for old time sake. I have an archery only tag, just so we can hunt it. Nothing serious. Nice set up DF.

Cool setup Desert Fox. I haven't seen anything like that before.......nor have I ever thought of doing that before. I might just try it in D7....only problem is...where I like to hunt, it's all up and downhill only. Not a good stretch of straight straight path for anything.

We go in 8 miles and it's uphill and downhill also. We push on the uphill and ride on the downhill and flat. My trailer is modular and only weigh 25 lbs. empty, but it can carry upwards of 150 pounds.

Cool trailers! I build carts for Mini horses, and have found that they can pull much more and more easily if I lower the draft point [ the hitch]. Have you or any of your friends tried a hitch at the same level as the rear axle? I have found that its easier on the small horses if I get the draft point as close to the trailer axle height as possible. When negotiating a turn that is a little off camber the trailer isn't trying to push the horse over. and when starting and stopping it keeps the weight evenly on all four feet instead of loading the rear feet on start and the fronts at stop time. I know of a couple of places where the roads are closed during hunting season and a cart like that would be very handy! DR

Got an A tag for S&Gs, hoping to make it out and go sight seeing. Hopefully no deer will ruin it.

I'm waiting to the last weekend (I think) which is in 2 weeks. Way too hot...I'm hunting an area which also holds pigs, so maybe I'll get lucky and get a hog if I don't get a buck. Either way, will be a fun trip getting out and camping with my son.
