Anyone hunt in the Julian area for turkey? I was thinking of hunting there but dont know the area. Any help on public places or a tag along would be awesome.

Thanks,
Justin

Good luck man, i hunted the area. The turkeys are there but they are smart. Best thing to do is scout the area now for fall and get ther early and wait.

I second what MonkeyChunks said. If there is a place you are planning on hunting, go out numerous times before the season and scout around. Even take your lunch and make a day of it so that you can see what kind of wildlife is inhabiting the area.

I am still looking to bag my first Turkey. I see them running around when it isn't turkey season, but come turkey season they all tend to know where the private property is and a good amount of them hang out on private property. However, there are still many others out there. It just takes some miles on the boots and legs to do the recon. :)
