So after getting into black rifles I had some fun playing with some different configurations, gear, and calibers. What I've settled on is what I call the varmint zapper. It consists of a spikes lower with a cmmg kit, geiselle trigger, bad lever, moe k grip, carbine buffer with the H3 installed, and an LMT stock. The upper is a stag arms 6h, badger latch installed on the stock charging handle, Leopold mount, and a Bushnell 6-18x40 trophy xlt scope.

I did a lot of swapping around of parts and Scopes, some were ok, some were bad, but I'm finally happy with what I've got. It's so hard though cuz looking through all the mags and catalogs I'm tempted to buy "this" part, or "that part... I'm sure you guys can understand.

But I'm leaving it alone! I'm sooooo happy with it I don't want to screw anything up. Last range trip I was punching 1/2 moa groups all day long with Hornady steel match 55 grain rounds. Took it hunting up by Blue Lakes and was obliterating squirrels like it was nothing. Yesterday we were slamming them at 250 yards, even flopped a jack rabbit.

I still have another completed lower, a Sun Devil (waste of money imho) sitting around that I'm thinking of making a 17 HMR with. But I'm freaking broke and don't have the 1K laying around to do it... Wish I did!

Any hoodle, just figured I'd share some of the current goings on and see what the rest of you guys were up to and doing.

Is there a rifle in the second pic Casey? LOL! Nice camo job!

@Ken, me or Casey? I did mine in the garage with rattle cans and some evergreen leaves. That way if it gets messed up I can just touch it up, no big deal. It is just a rifle that I hunt with. And IMO, camo patterns are more to please you. As long as the gun is flat and has a non repeating pattern you're good.
