Hey all,

It's been quite some time since I've been on the forum so it's good to be back :) I had a question about the prospects of catfishing at Mendota Wildlife Area... Is it a decent place to fish for catfish? Any particular areas I should check out?

I'm going soon to see if I can kick up some cottontails and figured I'd make a dual hunting/fishing trip out of it. Thanks for the info!

I don't normally fishing the wildlife area but do see a lot of fishermen every time I drive pass it. The times when I did fish it, I would fish in the back of the area where there is a bridge. Anywhere around there was productive for me back in the old days. We used to release a lot of baby stripers and catfish out there. But then again, those were the good old days. There are a lot of cotton tails rabbits out there that I can remember seeing. I know this is a late response but better late than never. By the way, how did you do out there on a dual trip?
