I don't knowhow you cook yours MC, but if you're out for a while and are looking to drop some weight from the dead rabbits, you may also want to consider just taking the four shoulders (front and back) along with the backstraps of course, and leave the ribs, what little meat there is on the ribs also, and the spine, head etc on the ground. You still bring home most of the meat, but lose the weight of most of the bones while wandering. And if you really want to try and keep it cool, wrap it up in a rag and keep the rag moist. I have been doing this for two years now and sure wish I had thought of it years ago. Of course I didn't care as much about the extra weight when I was younger :lol: . Anyway, just a thought. I will tell you though, it is definitely much lighter to lug around, and you won't care about that dab of meat on the ribs by the end of the day B)
