I am sure the person behind the trigger has a lot to do with a rifle being a good shooter.
I sure like the look of the Savage 10 Predator model .Does anyone have one ?

Yep, I've got one. It is in .243 and I am very pleased with it. I sold my Remington in .223 to buy it. Had no reason to keep the Remmy. It shot well, but the trigger was bad and it was much heavier,so made the logical switch.

I shoot a Rem 700 in 22-250
also a Rem model 7 in 243
and a Rem model 7 in 223
and a NEF in 204
I love them all and grab the one I need based on the terrain I am in for the day. Do I need the one with the 6x18 scope or the 3x9? You cant go fishing for all species of fish with the same rod can you? HAHA funny thing is my wife believes me when I tell her all this.
My favorite is the 22-250 not so much for the rifle but for the caliber itself.

Oh, & speaking of my 1st. I used to own a Savage model 10 predator rifle... and sold it! One, well maybe some, may never guess what I replaced it with?! (ok, so my 2nd (savage 22mag) wasn't a mistake; a small technicality) :rofl2:

I shoot a Rem 788 in 22-250 and couldn't be happier. Loaded with Hornady Superformance varmint, you never need to aim off of hair. +\- 4" out to 300 yards.

If you are hunting inside the Condor Zone my first choice for a factory coyote rifle would be a 243 Win.

I would rather shoot coyotes with a 243 cal 55 to 62 gr lead free bullet going 3600 fps to 3800 fps than shoot lead free 35 gr to 40 gr 22 cal bullets going 4000 fps to 4500 fps at coyotes.

If you can shoot lead bullets at coyotes a factory 22-250 is a great coyote rifle.

My go to was a Remmy 700 in 223. Took a few yotes from 50 to 400 yards back in the day. Saw a lot of time in the field back in the 70's and used it for Jacks too.

A .223 bolt shooting 40 grain vmax with a 3x9 scope. Low recoil watch the impact, flat shooting too 250, and it hits them pretty hard at that. However never needed it past 150 or so.

Agree with the 223 bolt shooting 40 grain Vmax and a 3x9 scope. I need one....for now, I use a 20" RRA Predator pursuit AR, and my 870. That AR is damn heavy, and not too fun to carry all day long. I like it and it's super accurate, and has killed 3 coyotes since I got it a few months ago. Saving my money up for a nice bolt action now.

The one you have at the time. Why use a rifle any way. :archer-green: :bleh[1]: I realy like my howa in 243.
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

I had a 3x9 on my 223 and found myself wishing i had more power on longer shots so now I have a red field 4x12 on it.Now I just need a coyote to test it on lol.

Yeah, I actually have a 3-12 on my AR. I've never used it on anything other than 3 power, because I've never shot a coyote past 200 yards, and usually under 100 yards. The 200 yard shot was lucky. He was running full blast and I got really, really lucky, because I'm nowhere near that good a shot.

I've been thinking hard about getting a bolt action. Looking hard at that Howa 223 1500 varminter with the pistol grip stock. Even have a model that comes with a Niko sterling scope which I can use until I get something better....My brain isn't good at remembering balistics on several calibers...so I pretty much stick to 223. I've been wanting a backup rifle ever since I went on a 3 day camping hunting trip and my scope broke on the only rifle I brought. Luckily I had my shotgun, so we still got a yote.

I had a 3x9 on my 223 and found myself wishing i had more power on longer shots so now I have a red field 4x12 on it.Now I just need a coyote to test it on lol.
