Got a good deal on a Beemon RS2. Nothing fancy Just need a air rifle for this one place . too small a spot for the 204 and the fuzzy rats won't let me get close with my bow any more. Is this a half way decent air gun?. I think peekers a RS2 and its a real shooter. Just needed something that can reach just a bit farther than a bow .40-50 yards and quiet. Im getting too many toys I hope I do not like this as much as a bow. Will get up one day to go get some squirrels and freez up Not knowing what to take . Lets see my wing recurve or maybe the long bow or the 204 or the air rifle. Something like a Quest are making me drool also.
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

That is supposed to be a decent air rifle. Is it .177 or .22? I forget what the RS2 model is.

Make sure to put a decent mildot scope on it that will handle the double recoil of the spring piston (like a 3-9 or 4-12 x 40AO scope), that way you'll be able to compensate for the curvy trajectory of the pellet.

Have fun with that and post photos when you get a chance. :) Welcome to air gunning

Brant, from the photos it looks like it might have come with a 4x scope (see his post with Beeman RS2 and dead squeeks).

I have the Beeman RS2 177/22 cal gun.
Good shooter for 30 to 40 yards, at 30 yards I can keep it on bottle caps all day long.
I have only used the 22 cal barrel.
Taken a coon and a few squirrels with it so far, upgraded scope to redhead 4-16x40 AO. non mil dot. I wish it was a mil dot scope now!
A little to powerful/noisy for where I live for shooting pesky little devils :smiley-innocent-halo-yellow:

I cannot agree more with ARH on the following.
(Make sure to put a decent mildot scope on it that will handle the double recoil of the spring piston (like a 3-9 or 4-12 x 40AO scope), that way you'll be able to compensate for the curvy trajectory of the pellet.)
Mine likes the RWS 14.3 pointed pellets.

For around the house I use my Crosman 1322 for squirrels and such, anything bigger gets the Beeman RS2 gun.
