Inspirational Hunting Photo

I have been following this forum for a couple of months now…snooping around as instructed by the pinned post “Some help for newbie’s…” Finally this is my first post here.

The cat in this photo was called “Carson the court yard cat” and he was killed last night by a coyote “devil” dog.

Back story:

I have lived in surf city (Huntington Beach) for some 10 years, four blocks from the pier and 500 hundred yards from the water. I live with great neighbors which has an open grass courtyard and we all have befriended Carson for 3 years now. We have never even heard a coyote here, let alone seen one.

Last night at 3:00 am Norma was woken by Carson screaming murder. Her son ran outside and chased the beast down the street with a bat, only to be stop by HB finest (HBPD) saying what are your doing? If you kill that dog you will go to jail!

Well the damage to Carson was done.

So keep doin what you do.

Carson’s photo will be going with me when I get in the field soon and this devil dog has thrown down.

Nothin’ like a feud…The Catfields and the McDogs.

Sorry to hear about the loss of the cat. Make sure that you check out all hunting regs in your area prior to your looking for this Coyote. If the cops wanted to arrest your son, then Im thinking its not a Hunting friendly place? Dont get yourself in hot water without finding out about the laws. Good luck and welcome to CPC!

Maybe the cop would have thought differently if it was his cat(or family member) that was killed and not yours. Some people do not deserve to have a badge or vote or breed.

Sorry Ornery, I am not laughing at you. If you only knew that city, you would understand. It is just that I worked that area for for eight years, and it is one of those typical "beach cities" where they will pull you over for having a dirty 4x4 truck let alone wearing a camo hat  . Don't ask how I know. There is nothing much he can do but try and keep the pets inside.

I have seen a coyote trotting down the street in HB at about midnight. We were working on my buddies racecar in his garage a few years ago and the yote was just cruising the neighborhood.

Also, Dont ride your Harley through HB, you will get pulled over REAL QUICK. They WILL find something to ticket you for.
