I just put in for my deer tags. First choice was X3B, doubt if I draw it. Second choice was the B Zones. Me and a couple friends will pack in to the Marble Mountains. I have never been in there, but one of my buds hunts there almost every year. Usually he gets his buck. The fishing is good too. Probably will buy a bear tag also, as the area is loaded with bear. Even if we don't connect with a buck or bear, it will be a good trip. We will take 3 horses to ride and 4 pack horses. Should be fun,ED

Ed, it has been over 40 years since I hunted and fished the marbles. Almost got snowed in on a deer hunt there. Saw some deer but didn't get any. We were back packed in perhaps 4 miles(?) or so. Also, walked up on, & nearly stepped on a nice looking, large black bear on a summer fishing trip there, again, while we were back packing. So the bear tag is a great idea!
I also got hopelessly & completely lost on that deer hunt. If not for a friend, my bones would be there. So be careful! It is like a rain forest & can easily get lost in it. Fortunately though, you have an experienced friend taking you, so will be MUCH safer.
Anyway, it is a gorgeous area & you will have a great time. Good Luck on your hunt.
