Yep, it is. Remember the old sitcom, Third rock from the sun? Third rock is where we live. Here a picture to prove it.Attached File  order-of-planets-from-the-sun.jpg   26.3KB   2 downloads

John, I had no idea our solar system was so crowded. I guess the rings of Saturn are tilted to keep from bumping Jupiter and Uranus.

I haven't fished there in years Larry but it used to be a great lake. I imagine it still is just more fishermen now. I've always trolled for trout there never bank fished.

It is Frenchmen's Lake, maybe the fish just gave up biting the hooks. Or they could have just retreated and surrendered to deeper waters :504: .

I've fished there off and on through the years, it can get alot of pressure. Float tubing with a fly rod throwing wooly buggers can be off the hook at times. If your shore fishing around the dam is probably your best bet. You can try Davis too. There are some good creeks so don't overlook them. From shore spoons and spinners will get them - a trusty castmaster in several sizes and colors is a must have, silver.blue is my favorite. Meps Aglia's will get it done too. Bait - those lakes have always produced with night crawlers and marshmallows, but powerbait will work too. Good luck, its a great place to be regardless. Here is a couple of pics of my brother with a Lake Davis Pike before DFG killed them off - we had a week up there that was one of my all time favorites. The last pike fishing we'll probably ever see in California - unless they start bringing them in from Nevada again.....Posted ImagePosted Image
