I got out today and did some calling this morning on my second stand in the almond orchard I found a spot put out the caller set down and turned it on high with grey fox distress he came in at 10 second's from my right.I moved the mono pot put the cross hair's on him and let it rip.I hit him good I thought it spun a little then took off.Well it was a dead dog running and a pain in the butt to find him the ocean of tree trunks make it hard to find your kill !On my second one it held up on me and was behind a tree when i finally got the shot off I was so pumped up I jerked the trigger. There was no way to calm myself down deep breathing did not help.I got the coyote fever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I not sure if i am done for the day yet. :signlol2iu:Posted ImageLooks like a good shot placement but he still ran 50 or so yards..Posted Image

i finally got the shot off I was so pumped up I jerked the trigger

It is absolutely unbelievable how easy that is to do... no matter how long one has been shooting. That, & sometimes we just cannot get the stinkin firearm to hold steady... deep breaths & all! Guess that's why it's called "hunting", eh? :signlol2iu:

Yep! Frank is right. Its amazing how easy it is to forget proper shooting techniques when you are hunting. Good job!

Nice job. Don't you just hate it when you pull and head and try to look instead of following through with the shot? Not that I would know what that is like :signlol2iu: . Yeah, right!!! How about every other shot for me :doh[1]:10 seconds huh? Think you can send me the GPS coordinates to that spot, I am looking for a good place to hunt :good:

19 minutes is not long enough, it has to be 20 minutes or more! If you had waited 20 minutes no telling how many coyotes would have come in. :crazy:Congratulations on the one you did get! :signlol2iu:

Nice one John. I wouldn't worry so much about jerking the trigger as lifting your head to see the shot. I see more people do that and can't figure out how they missed. :signlol2iu:

Nice going! Looks like an older dog.

Way to go on the coyote. Looks like a real fuzzy one, in some spots . The racoons was trying to sleep and you woke them up with all that nois. Not fair I had to work this weekend. :smiley-sorry: :roflmao3[1]:
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.
