Yea pretty sure have been going there for the opener for about 20 years and only a couple of times has it been frozen over.

Man, I haven't been to Kirman in awhile. Used to ride our mtn bikes back there carrying our float tubes. That whole area...Pickel Meadows is great.

I remember a mt bike/float tube trip to Kirman. Six+ hour drive (vehicle issues on the way) for a big skunk. I've spent a lot of time fishing the Canyon below Levitt but it's been years. Rosevelt lake put out some huge Cutthroat though Lane? was always a bust for me.

lif2fsh,Did you try Kirman for the opener? The pictures I saw of the brookies caught are of smaller fish than in years past.....
