went out Sunday afternoon to a spot I hunt not to far from my house. called for 25 minutes and nothing. so I decided to scout for hog sign and call at the same time. after a few more stops I started to move and saw something move out of the corner of my eye then realized I hade been busted. so I decided to go back to my truck and drive the boundaries of the ranch. I made a turn and I saw two coyotes. I got out of my truck and got even with the trees to try and get closer wen one dog split and the other was looking at me. I took a knee held over and wen the dog turned to run I fired. wack the dog went into a spin and tryed to takeoff but was moving slow. I walked up and put one in its head frome 15 yards. I'll try to get some pictures up. wen I paced back to my truck it was 255 paces not bad for a lever gun in a pistol round.

What kind of lever gun are you using? My guess is a Marlin?

Nice going. Hard to beat the handiness of a good lever gun. You would be surprised how many people don't realize how much more effective the ole .357 is out of a rifle.

it is a Marlin I use 125 grn hollow point they cronagraph 2150 fps two weeks ago I shot a coyote on a trot at 150yards give or take and though it was lucky. but the gun fits me good and I shoot more than anything else I have. I grabed the 308and put it back then grabed the 357 instead. I think I'm going to use it for deer this year.
