Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and club, glad to be here! So I produced a 10 minute plus mp3 of various jackrabbit distress calls for coyotes that I am making available here for anyone to use on their hunts. No cost, just sharing. I only ask that you give the group some feedback on if it was useful and if it worked for you. You have to post pics of your dogs that you took out.By the way, it was over 11megabytes so I could not upload it directly here. I had to upload it to my blog in a file so just click the link and you can listen to it or right click to download it.Here is is... They sound great.One of the cotton tails sounds at the beginning does sound like a fox pro aggressive jack.

Guess I'm wasting my time also looking here for places to hunt for coyotes?... Any feedback would be great, I am in Santa Clara and Samta Cruz Counties but am willing to drive up to 150 miles for a good spot.

Just came back from a coyote hunt in Red Bluff and used the jackrabbit in distress MP3 that I posted and took out a coyote within 15 minutes. Got it on video and have some great pics that I need to edit and put up here. My point being, the jackrabbit call works, try it! Only reason why I did not take out more is because the junk called Cass Creek horn went out for no reason and I was left without a caller. Time to upgrade to a real caller. Any ideas or tips?

Id reccomend Foxpro, mostly because of their customer service,and the product they make is very good. There are some new callers out on the maket that are a little less money but I dont know how well they hold up. You may want to look at MOJO's Double Trouble with the built in Decoy. But after having 3 Foxpros, thats the way I lean. Good luck.

I use a foxpro spitfire with an external speaker and have pretty good succes with reliability and the customer service is great as well as the available downloads. My buddy has a primos something or other and doesn't even bring it out any more with the remote control problems he has.

Pup cries sound real that must be from a real dog .how do i down load it on my fox pro caller.

The only blm land that i know of is upper and lower cotton wood.It is only open during deer season and tell January .

With MP3 sounds, an IPOD and external speakers is there a reason to buy an expensive e caller?
How often do you ever play multiple sounds at once?

acewhite so that means you don’t have the remote for your TV either and you like to go back and forth and half way back to your seat you want to go back to change it again because changing from Pig Man to Gold Rush to Swamp People but you have seen that one and don’t want to see it again

There are coyotes all over Santa Cruz County but it is almost all private property. When we lived in Santa Cruz in Prospect Heights the coyotes used to come down out of DeLaViega Park and eat the cat's food on our back porch. Best bet is to get to know someone who has a fairly large parcel and is having trouble with coyotes. If you can get permission, calling them in close and using a shotgun may be the only answer. I would try some of the tree farms in Bonny Doon or the summit area. The vineyards in the summit area may also be a good bet. Like the sounds but I have a Mac and am having trouble downloading them. I'll keep working at it. Welcome to the site.
