I really don't know why but I am still recording the Dead Dog Walking predator hunting show. I maybe still watching it because after watching it all of the other predator hunting shows just look that much better. On the show I watched yesterday the Dead Dog Walking tip of the week was "letting things settle down for 15 to 20 minutes before calling on each stand." :WWD:According to the Dead Dog Walking guys everything needs to get back to normal before you start calling on your stands and it takes 15 to 20 minutes for that to happen. :good: :signbs1zn:After that they showed a guy from back east somewhere that filmed his own coyote hunt. During the stand that they showed I could here a Foxpro e-caller cranking out a rabbit distress sound. After he called in a coyote and shot it on film they went to bragging about how this guy did everything by himself including using a mouth call. What I heard was not a mouth or hand call. :lame: :smiley_kewlpics: :boo:I would really like to hear from Fangtooth on what he thinks of the Dead Dog Walking predator hunting show.

LOL Bob... keep watching that show, and you may finally kill a Coyote! I have yet to see it, but I did hear that it was the worst predator show on TV. Id love to see Fangtooths rendition as well! :smiley_kewlpics:

That's too funny, Bob. You may be watching it because there's probably nothing else on TV? LOL At least for predator hunting anyhow. That's probably my reason for watching it on occasion. And they sure do make the other shows look good. LOL

I watched the same episode and was going to make a post about it.I thought the same stuff to I also can't stand how they have a guy narrate it with the cut away and the country hick music they play etc. Then there is the other pred show where they jump up and down when they call in and shoot a dog all excited.Omg how lame........

I can't even stomach the hunting shows anymore. At 20 minutes, I'm halfway through my next stand. Newberts should talk about what they know, which is nothing.

I just watched that same episode and didn't catch the part about hand calls.... that is funny since I have the same rabbit sound on my fox pro that was used on that stand. and did you notice he got multiple camera angles on that stand as well while the caller was playing?Im tired of Les Johnson as well to much extra added on and it just don't look real anymore.

I don't like the way Les Johnson is trying to sell products all of the time but Les and his brother do get some great video of coyotes coming in.

I hate that stinking show. Those guys are pure clowns. I have yet to see a coyote drop where they shoot it. I'd watch it again just to write them a few more nasty e-mails. Letting a spot rest for 15-20 minutes, huh? CLOWNS! Just one more in a long list of pathetic and worthless tips from those duck wranglers. I sure hope FANGTOOTH comes out of retirement for this!

I just like watching the coyotes hit the dirt! I've seen a lot of BS on most all of those shows. Besides, I'm waiting for DAbob to start video taping his kills. I won't watch any of those shows anymore. :signtripledogdare2wf:

funny how when i started to learn how to call coyotes i had to pry bits of information out of the local gvmt hunter/trapper.Now people that kill a couple coyotes are on t.v. as self proclaimed experts.all about money and entertainment.I am seeing it in a trapper magazine I subscibe too. All these "how to tactics" for filling up the fur basket.

I've never seen this "dead dog walking" but Fangtooth himself told me it's a steaming pile.I really don't think the majority of all these videos are about money...they are far more about ego than anything else. I've seen a few out there that I wouldn't be too proud of...let alone sharing them to the world.

You mean you're not supposed to wait 15 minutes before every stand? I always thought that went hand in hand with putting the caller out 150 yards so the yotes don't come in too close. I use scent eliminator on every stand too, just like they do on all of the TV shows, you know they are on those shows for a reason, they have to know their stuff.

I wish these guys were with me in January when I almost ran one over in my truck (that sounds like a coffee can full of nuts and bolts in a washing machine) at 10mph only to have it stop less than 100 yards away (and me with just a shotgun and #6's hunting chukar  ).Or last week where the kid took three shots at a running rabbit only a minute and a half before walking face to face with one 50 yards down the field. Must have been the leather jacket he wore to block the wind that acted as a scent cover and made him smell like a cow :signs653wf: .

I can't take any of those shows any more . Even the fishing ones are just long comercials. But I do like Tred Barta. If I waited 15-20 minutes I would fall asleep.

Just saw this, I to laughed when he said wait 20 minutes. No wonder they celebrate for 2 hours when they kill 1 coyote...they got a lot of time invested in that stand. And they seldom keep calling after the shot, to busy high-fiving each other. I also cannot stand the music they constantly play while they are calling, its annoying. Then Chad gets on there and chatters for 10 minutes explaining what pros they are, while wearing a stupid looking sock cap like hes some sort of street thug. Lame.Absolutley the lamest and most juvenile urban gangbanger wanna-be show out there. That was my last episode, done watching it.Mark

I watch these shows when I'm unable to grab a rifle and get out doors. they serve as place holders when I have nothing better to do and the smithsonian channel is full of reruns. I like the show fur takers though. Dead dog walking is at the bottom of the heap.
