Wanted a Hawke Panorama EV 1/2 mil dot but that did not pan out, so bought this BSA TMD4-14x44 mil-mil side focus FFP (First Focal Plane) scope instead.I sighted it in yesterday at 35 yards at home and plan to go to the range Monday to re-sight it at 50 yards.This scope was on sale at Midway (see review link below).Group B 5 shots) .250" ctc.....Group C 8 shots .375" ctcMRAD reticle

This is my second FFP scope...I also have a Barska 40x50MM mil dot FFP scope that I used for 50 yard air rifle benchrest and some 'long range' squirrel sniping...But this BSA is a real suprise and IMO a solid build with very clear glass...

What is crazy is I have NOT cleaned the barrel yet...I took delivery of this Mrod Feb 20,2012. So i'm just going to keep shooting until accuracy falls off....think I've put 300-350 pellets thru it so far..

JSB Kings? The Green Mountain barrels (on the .25s) seem to be of better consistency and quality than Crosmans - at least in the past. They are in the mid 800s fps with Kings so lead deposit isn't an issue but the graphite and lubes eventually affect accuracy slightly in mine.Even though the JSBs shoot tip top accurate I still shoot mainly Predators to hear that wallop when hunting - even sparrows and they are accurate enough.

I have not tried the Predators in .25 cal...did not have much luck with them in .22 cal.Domes are my preference for competition and hunting...for short range pistol hunting I have used RWS Super H Points out to 30 yards...Did a few shots this morning at 35 yards...but this time I used my benchrest setup instead of just a front bag rest:Caldwell Fire Control

Reticle..(camera tough to focus)...scope is much sharper/clearer..

Its like night and day with the .22 and .25 Predators. I never had luck with the .22 Predators in any of my guns. They shoot pretty well in all of my .25s however. Not sure why that is but it is a common complaint I hear. I switched my Stubby to a .25 barrel just because it shot so many more pellets well. Great groups.

The scope rings that are on your gun, are they medium height?

Yes.. they are medium rings from PA....magazine clears scope by 1/8".....
