The 2012 rat war begins. Last year, I was too busy with work and everything to spend much time shooting the buggers that come into the yard from the neighboring greenbelt. So they sort of got a pass. But then a month or so ago, I found one had torn up the insulation under the hood of my pickup. That did it.Revenge came tonight with a head shot from my R7 and a .177 Predator pellet. Gave a squeak and dropped without a kick. Probably not the one that tore up my truck. But made me feel a little better anyhow.

I don't blame you, messing with a man's truck is a hangin' offense! It is amazing how fast they can do it too. Took less than 4 days for them to actually build a nest in the air filter housing on us during a week long trip at the family farm in CO. Little boogers. Was that one taken by a bird feeder or were you baiting them? But then a month or so ago, I found one had torn up the insulation under the hood of my pickup. That did it.

Below my bird feeder. The birds knock the seed all over the place. But I bait them sometimes, too.

Nicer shot. I used to shoot a few. Lots of fun.
