http://www.youtube.c...0FAyseBnWMTTcA=All I can say id it came in at around the 8 minute mark and it was sneaking around the manzanita Don had to wait before he shot and it was a good thing cause I didn't have camera on it yet. I really need a hi def cam corder though the digital camera works but the quality is poor.

It mostly Youtube that takes away from the quality. If you edit the video it degrades it even more. There are ways to get around the loss in quality.

I've never hunted Coyote with my dog- a big black lab. Do you keep your dog leashed when calling them, or does he know to stay put when a coyote comes? I might try bringing my dog out some time and see how she does.Awesome job, and nice shot! I have the same decoy- haven't had any luck with it down here. I call a bunch in without it, but I've used it on probably 5-10 stands, and never had one come in when I had the decoy out. It's a pretty intense decoy, and I think it actually scares them down here in the desert. Last weekend I shot, cased out, and stretched a couple jackrabbit furs. Cased out and stretched, my Foxpro will actually fit inside. I'm going to try doing that- decoy and E-caller all in one package. Maybe tomorrow if I don't go fishing.

Sam...My hunting dog, stays on his leash with the leash wrapped around my leg so he can't jump in front of my rifle at the site of a coyote. That being said he stays put now he didn't before,I've been working on the stay command on a regular basis because he used to jump and lunge towards the coyote right on the shot but now he don't. Its been a trial and error training but he's getting better all the time.On this particular set up we had 2 coyotes show up and Sam (my hunting dog) cut the other ones scent and went that way but circled back through the brush to where I was standing which was about 10 yds from the coyote Smokeball (Don) shot.Again he's a work in progress and is getting better every trip out.I never wanted a decoy dog so thats why I never let him go out while calling. He's got a better nose and I have encountered times when I see nothing and Sam puts his nose to the wind and I'll look that way and I usually see a coyote off in that direction. Now if I can only see them before they bust us that would be nice.Sams vision saved me a couple times to seems dogs see movement in the brush better than humans do. Just my observation in the times I've been out with Sam.Frank
