:smiley-innocent-halo-yellow: Hope you have a blast. I have loaded a couple thousand 12 and 20ga since the end of bird season and sure wish I had the opportunity to use them up down there. Had an uncle that did it last year and could not say enough good things about it. Please take lots of pics so us poor saps stuck at home can drool too :504: .A sky full of birds and a shotgun in my hand, that would be Heaven on Earth :pirashoot:

the shell bill is what will get me!

That's why God gave us the Mec Jr Press :smiley_green_with_envy: Picked up the used 12 and 20ga for less than $100 for both! And I can exceed the store bought "high base" rounds for the same price (or less) than the generic Wally world rounds. It wasn't worth it ten years ago as much as it is today. If you shoot quite a bit of shotgun, it is more than worth the investment. Plus, you can custom tailor your loads just like you can for reloading rifle and pistol. Posted ImageHey bzzrd feedr, do they do it the same way where you go, where the kids that help take home as many birds as they can carry? My uncle was telling us how amazing it is watching the art that these kids use to carry the maximum amount of birds at one time. He also mentioned how great it was to see these kids smile since they felt like real men knowing they were bringing a few nights worth of dinner home every day. That's just too cool :signs653wf:

Dale, I know that you are looking forward to the trip. Bruised shoulder and all. Have a "blast." Are you going to be shooting a 12 Ga. or a 20?

I take two 20 ga. Beretta 391 Tyknus ?? spell ?? down with me. I've had the guns fit to me by a pro and with a strap on recoil pad I don't really get a sore shoulder. Part of our package is 2500 rounds of ammo that is included. (I usually shoot double that) The bird boys are great but don't collect the birds until the shooting stops due to safety. You can't take ammo down. I think the airline limit for transporting shotgun ammo is 100 rounds which is not worth the trouble. I buy shotgun target ammo on group buys by the container load. The per box price is so low that reloading is not an option if I value my time at all. I just shoot it up here when ever I get the chance. I'll try to get some better pics this time.

You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

Well 14 hrs each way on airplanes. 4 days of shooting and 3681 doves later I'm home. Pic's will come when I recover from the ordeal. I'm getting to old for all this hard work. Got the guns apart this morning and oiled up but they are in need of a major disassembly and scrubbing. more later

Neither actually. My left shoulder muscles were sore from raising the gun so much and my lower back (it always is sore) from years of abuse. I don't load much, learned my lesson years ago. I take two matching guns down there and let the Bird Boy load while I shoot. I wear the PAST recoil pad that really helps too. I'm still waiting for the camera man to email me the photo album. I don't recommend going down there it spoils you to shoot doves here. I haven't hunted doves here in the states in a long time.
