It really bugs me with what people have to say about fish&game departments when they do their job----ie----The Nevada dept. of Wildlife was called out to Incline Village at Tahoe due to a bear getting into a house and tearing things up. NDOW set up a bear trap but were unable to catch the bear. They received another call this week about the bear being back in the area from a homeowner and they again responded and found the bear and chased it with dogs and darted it,had it removed from the area. NDOW had the bear put down and now homeowners in the area are bad mouthing the dept. for not relocating the bear.I hope another bear shows up and gets into the homes of the stupid people who are bad mouthing the NDOW. I really feel sorry for fish&game as they are wrong if they do and wrong if they don't.

Oh we were talking about badmouthing fish and game departments. I serious think they should of left the bear in place. They need to start asking party affiliation of the person complaining and if they belong to peta or some other organization. Everyone else just gets a depredation permit and waits till hunting season.

Just gives you a glimpse into the mind of the suburban idiot. As long as wildlife stays wild and out of their yard, they love the cuddly critters. Once they start eating Fluffy, dumping over trash cans or ripping something apart, they want it gone. Unfortunately, trying to explain the pros and cons of relocating certain animals to a majority of the public falls on deaf ears. All resource agencies put public safety at the top of any of their actions. Animals that become habituated to roaming the urban edge for food, can't be released into the wild unless they're chased, shot at with bean bags and taught to fear humans. If it comes back after that, well, that only ends on way.

Tahoe is so full of freaks, when the trappers put a bear trap out, the freaks come and pee and defecate on the trap so the bear won't go in...
