That thing is NICE! You'll have to add a wing onto the house for all of these African mounts Frank.

If that's not a conversation piece I don't know what is. Looks real good. I can't remember who said it, but they had the best description I have ever heard of those things. They said "It is the one animal that always looks pissed off, like you owe it a bunch of money". Intimidating, even when they're dead.

One of my favorite quotes, from one of the books that made me dream of hunting Africa."I don't know what there is about buffalo that frightens me so. Lions and leopards and rhinos excite me but don't frighten me. But that buff is so big and mean and ugly and hard to stop, and vindictive and cruel and surly and ornery. He looks like he hates you personally. He looks like you owe him money. He looks like he is hunting you...He makes me sick in the stomach, and he makes my hands sweat, and he dries out my throat and my lips."Robert Ruark, Horn of the Hunter, 1953

Thanks, yep, that's the one. Isn't it so true? That has always stuck in my head also. Glad you had a great time (I still remember the write up) but even more happy you made it back in one piece :D If given the chance would you go back again versus something like an Alaskan sheep or Kodiak hunt instead?

I think that I could be happy hunting buffalo for the rest of my life. For my next trip, I kind of promised my brother that I'd take him to South Africa or Namibia for plains game. But, after that if I can sneak it by Wifezilla I may try for a combo Buff/leopard hunt.
