This just goes to prove that a coyote will probably respond to an upset stomach. Bummer about the aftermath though...The Calling Master

That was the worst reaction of a poorly hit coyote I ever saw.Where did he hit it at poop. The sound was weird to but it worked.

Wow... I'm (almost) speechless. LOL For starters, & like I've always said, one can sound gawd awfull & still call in coyotes. And then it was topped off with LATE & poor shooting. Ugh! The shooter was also a MEATHEAD believing the coyote was finished (unless I heard wrong).I mean obviously a coyote is NOT finished whenever they get back up. He had a couple easy 2nd chances too, but refused to shoot, & inistead kept on saying he's finished. :smiley-funny-post-sign: Well, at least it shows some of the many types of mistakes a predator hunter can make. A good thing I reckon?

Well, I'll assume you're not kidding & say, caliber had nothing to do with it... It is (almost) always WHERE they are hit.

They seem pretty proud of their little video. :smiley-funny-post-sign: The calling obviously worked. Thinking that the coyote was "down" while it was flopping around and trying to get its crap together to make a run for it was sh1tty to watch. Like Frank said, follow up shot should have been immediate

Who cares if there proud of their video atleast they are trying. If u read their post it was their first time out calling yotes. If u talki $hit to every new person then where is this sport going to be in 30 years when no one wants to pick it up cuz all the veteran predator hunters didnt give pointers they only laughed and said u suck..... Why not try and give some advice. Yes it is hard to watch that yote bounce around and not be put down by a follow up shot, and yes i would of done it different but we each learn at our own pace, and have our own learning curves. Some may be a pro their first trip out and some it may take a few trips, a month or forever. But atleast these guys are having fun and trying something new. My buddy sounds about the same at mouth calling and believe it or not i have seen him call in 4 different yotes with god awful sounds like in the video. Yotes are curious critters and if it sounds interesting they will 99% of the time check it out. Hopefully these guys learned from this and do better next time!

Technically, the guy was right, they coyote was down, then back up, then down again, then back up,...............sad, just sadAnd since when was coyote hunting a part of the Special Olympics :smiley-funny-post-sign: It also does not surprise me at all to see this posted on a public place (not that I agree it should be). But think about it for a second, after a display like that does it really surprise anyone that they are not smart enough to know how stupid they actually look.

Those guys are pretty special. I think that coyote was trying to run away from that sound and got confused by the echo. Pisses me off though cause I took two years to call a dog in with a mouth call and I sounded way better than that.

You put yourself out there, Youtube, Facebook, or forums, you open yourself up to all the the Pro's and Con's of what you post. I clicked into this clip and almost instantly started laughing. After the shot, I wasn't laughing. The calling was terrible, but they did call something in...so what. I think most would've found the clip hilarious without the coyote. But when you shoot an animal and you just sit there while it's flopping around, you're going to get called to task for it. Anyone else on this forum that has hunted coyotes before know that coyotes don't BLEED OUT and once they start flopping, you better follow up and anchor them. And once they start running, forget it. They had plenty of time to put another one round in the animal, but they sat there talking. Again, inexperience. They deserve all the crap they're going to get for posting it!

Get 'em Switch! I scolded a newbie once who took too long to shoot, then when he did, he wounded it and watched it flopping around, screaming like heck. I ran up over the hill and put it out of it's misery with a shot that I shouldn't have had to take. I asked him what he thought he was doing just looking at it. He said he'd seen it on one of Byron South's videos where they laughed and counted how many times the coyote spun before it stopped! What a jack a$$! I told him never, never, ever let an animal you shoot suffer that kind of death. I also told him to show me that video because I met Byron at a Shot Show and don't believe he'd ever do that. He never got back to me or asked me to take him hunting again. It's too bad that when I take newbies out, I can't have a crystal ball that could tell me what king of person he/she is. It sure would cut down on my disappointments!
