I have been trying the 8208 powder with the 40 grain v-max to work up an accurate load. Finally got there tonight with 38.0 grains and cci primers. Winchester primers had them not so good . 5 shot group measured .260" @ 100yds.

Nice work. I just ordered dies and brass today to start loading for .22-250. Bought a Remington 700 VSSF.

There ya go, Eric, good job. I also use the cci primers in my 250 and works very well. Right now 8208 is also my favorite powder with the 250 & 50 gr bullet. I will be trying the 40gr bullet next with that same powder the next time I go to the range... whenever that will be? lolAnyway, for years I used the 50gr bullet in both the 223 & 22-250 but swiched to the 40 gr in my 223 about 3 or 4 yrs ago or so. I will likely be doing the same thing in my 250. Mike, that VSSF is one very fine rifle. You did good getting that one!

Ha, I suspected you would approve, Frank. Thanks, I'll post some pics when I get it.
