Was a great day out on the water trolling. We got our limit on Stripers all around 20 inches, 4lbs. Lots of fun catching them.Attached File  5.jpg   9.82K   6 downloads

Way to go .Thats just the right size to eat.
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

So that what a fish looks like ,its ben almost a year sence I got one . I was beginning to thank thay came on blue foam and already filet. Nice job good eating there . Stripers are my favorite fish to catch and eat.. :smiley-outta-here: ;) :D

Thanks. I think I'm going to Camanche this weekend too. Shooter - Sounds delicious! I will have to try your cocktail striper sauce for sure! I fried it up in some good old Louisianna Fish Fry seasoning my buddy gave me.Yum.

Nice job Steph! Were you on the Sacramento River or ?Stripers are my favorite to fish for, although my husband and I prefer to fly-fish for them in the delta and catch & release... What's your biggest stripe?4 lbs is perfect for eatin' - they haven't been in the system as long, so their mercury levels are much, much less. They make great sushi too!

Great day of fishing Steph . I LOVE fishing Stripers down were I am at , Castaic , DVL , but the bite never took off at one & I missed it at the other . Great fish to eat too . With one between 4-6#s , you might want to try the " Salt " metheod for cooking . You basically build a Salt crust / shell all the way around the fish & bake it . It will not be salty & it is soo moist & delicious ! Andy

I was with my buddy Kevin who's in some special club in Sacramento. We were trolling over at the Sacramento Port using P-liners I believe. Outgoing of the high tide if I'm correct. We were off the water by 3pm :smiley_green_with_envy:
