Check out this old WWII combat Marine vet...he won this new rifle in a raffle. Even in his wheelchair, at 90+, you can see that smile in his eye! With luck I will live as long as my Dad.Go ahead...make his day!Attached File  4.jpg   21.73K   5 downloads Attached File  5.jpg   16.96K   4 downloads

That's pretty cool to see him smile like a kid again. Something about new or even old guns that can make a person happy. Now take him out and let a few rounds loose and send us the picture of his grin ear to ear.

 That's just great! Couldn't have found a better, more deserving home. And within that grin you can almost hear the words in his mind: "I better not hear any of you young pups complain about carrying this featherweight. You should have seen the boat anchors we had to carry" :)

Rob that's pretty cool!A couple of weeks ago a bunch of us went shooting and we brought along our buddy Paul who is a 93yo WWII army vet who fought in the Phillipines. Well one of the guys broke out his M1 garand and you should have seens Paul's eyes light up. We put Paul behind that Garand and it was just like he had never put the thing down in 68 years. He had it zeroed in and was wacking the target at 100 yards within a couple of shots. He managed a 4" group with and 8 round clip. I asked Paul when was the last time he had shot a Garand and he said 1945.

SEMPER FI Mac!
SEMPER FI - It means... Always Faithful! Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice. Ammo is cheap - life is expensive.

Can't beat those old Marines. My wife's dad just passed last year at 93. He was an instructor on the range at Camp Mathews at the beginning of WW2 and later made the landing on Iwo. He taught my wife and her brother to shoot and I've seen him make some unbelievable shots with a rifle. I was in the Corps when my wife and I met. I never made it out of her house on our first three dates due to conversation with her dad. What a guy. He was more a dad to me than my own father. All his guns now grace my safe or those of my sons.
Mountain coyotes have more fur.

Thats realy cool.
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

Thank you very much for sharing this story and the photos. Makes me think of my dad. He'd have been 92 10 December. Also a WWII veteran, Army Air Corps.
Now, don't try to get away! I am more muscular, more cunning, faster, and larger than you are, and I am a genius. Why you could hardly pass the entrance examinations to kindergarten.
