I spent the extra bucks on the rechargable unit but I seem to have misplaced my charger cord for my FX3. I'm going out tonight to feed this addiction. Can I replace the Rechargable Batteries w/ fresh AA Batteries????

You should be able to they're just rechargeable in the regular battery holder. I don't have an FX3 yet but I ended up tossing the rechargeables for my unit and just use alkaline batteries now. I like the regular batteries more because I don't have to be careful about charging them before they've run down and developing a memory.

Yes you can use AA with no problem. I personally do not think they last as long as the ones that came with the unit.I found an old car charger for something that I had in the past that needed it. Turns out it fits my FX3 perfectly, so now I have unlimited run time. I would suggest that everyone go to whatever Electronic store they have and look for something similar..
