Well, if the winds will cooperate, I think that I'll try to shoot my 22.250 at the Cuyama 1,000 yard match this month. Actually the match will be a modified Palma with 15 rounds at 800 yard, 15 at 900 and 15 at 1,000 yards.I've got a heavily modified Savage 11 with a 26", 10" twist, three groove PacNor SuperMatch barrel: (Middle gun below)

I just tested the 69 grain Sierra SMK with IMR4064 powder and got the groups below: I chrongraphed the 33.7 grain load at 3,340 fps which JBM says will still be supersonic at 2,300 feet of elevation if the temperature stays above about 40 degrees. A 5 MPH wind will move it 56 inches though. Ouch!
