Hey guys, Hope you all had a nice Xmas. I won a spot in the dfg lottery for the peace valley pheasant hunt. I have never been pheasant hunting before. what should i expect? any advise would be very appreciated. thanks in advance.

Congrats on the hunt! I use 6's when I go out for pheasants, funnest upland bird imo, quick birds and exciting for sure.Roosters are beautiful birds, getting my next big one mounted next to a fence post. Good luck! Carlos

Many times they don't flush until you literally kick them, so don't forget the heart meds :carnage: Good luck, and don't forget the camera.

Dont buy 6's!!! lol they wont let you use them. I think , Im pretty sure of it,that they wont let you use anything larger the 7 1/2 low base loads.Dont ask me why,but they do. I drew the pheasant hunt last year in rancho jamul and it was fun. And be ready they dont dizzy up the birds so they're really alert!
