I joined a couple of friends with young dogs and did a dog training session today. The young German Shorthairs needed some birds shot over them and I aim to oblige.
One of the dogs is a 2-3 yr. old with no papers from the Modesto pound that I think with some work is going to be a great dog. The other about the same age was trained then kenneled by a injured owner that never could hunt it, and it is going to be a good one too. I'm a Lab guy but have always had a soft spot for the pointers. They are really great for kids or anyone that has not hunted much. We ended up with 9 Pheasants and 10 Chuckers, and it was an awesome day at the office.
amazing.

Sounds like fun. It's too bad you had to suffer through 9 Pheasants and 10 Chukars. Hopefully you're eating a few of those birds...I thoroughly enjoy a good chukar. S&S

Thanks for being so kind to go out of your way to help out with the puppies. Hope your not to tierd from the shooting.
I realy like to see dogs work.
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

Yep Chuckers are in the marinade as we speak and will be on the Barby tomarrow night. They are one of my favorites when it comes to upland birds. They were all shot in the head of course.
