Wow those are some beefy scope mounts, they look like rod caps on a V8....
Is that a Vortex Viper HS? If so how do you like it?I was looking to pick one up, need a scope for the new 7mag I got and trying to keep it around $500.

The glass is great but the the scope has a very short eye relief. The reticule is too thick for my liking too. The quality is on par with Nikon Monarch.Is that a Vortex Viper HS? Tracking is great. Dropped this Texas whitetail at 603 yards. My come up was spot on.

Doug at Camera Land is selling those Viper with plex reticle for $279 out the door right now. The scope is being discontinued by Vortex.
