Went calling this am .On the second stand had one hang up at 75-80yds out stood there and tried to find me for a while would not come any closer . He walked off so maybe next time. Went chassing bunnies along a dry creek bed and got this guyPosted ImageAs i was looking for bunnies along the creek I some how knocked this guy out of a almond tree about 25 yards out.Posted ImageMade a couple more stands for coyotes but no taker. The bunnie had a great coat on it . Being tanned right now . Had the dove for a appitizer and the rabbit for the meal.
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

Thanks TD, now every dove I get with my shotgun will just be plain and unexciting :smiley_kewlpics: If you don't mind my asking, how long have you shooting that thing? And don't tell me a year or two because I will :014: Haha. And was that one of them Eurasian dove? If so, curious if they are just as good. Haven't had the chance to try them myself yet.

Bisley start crying. Had this long bow for about two years now but I started shooting stick bows before you was born. The dove was not flying it was in a almond tree. It was a mornning dove. Walnutfarmer I can't hit deer or pigs worth sqaut. Coyote is the biggest.

You think. When shooting squirrels and rabbits I look at the center of the head. The few coyotes The shoulder .But them dang deer have antlers and those things just screw me up even with a rifle. :smiley_kewlpics: :014:

Bisley, I've eaten the Eurasian Collared-Doves and personally, I like the taste of them better than the Mourning Doves (of course, that's just my opinion and I haven't tried the White Winged yet). The meat is a little lighter in color, even after being cooked and the taste is a little milder too. :smiley-funny-post-sign:

;) :014: :014: :014: At least you didn't tell me you just started shooting them bows two years ago. Whew! And whether it was sitting in a tree or flying at full speed, one h e double l of a shot. I don't even use training wheels, but rather a rocket (fast moving 12ga handloads) and I still have iffy days :014:

That seems to be the general opinion I have gotten, thanks. My brother and hunting partner have both taken them, but it seems like I'm never around when they are cooked, only the mourning dove. As many Eurasian dove as there are, for some silly reason neither my pops nor I have ever taken one. Go figure. Gonna have to change that
