Lots of yotes on base. See them all the time while training. Good job with the rabbits.

Oh fricken snap. I'm medically retired from the Army (blue card and all). So I can go hunting down there? My usual hunting buddy is a 4 year marine vet, would I be able to take him?

Unless he has a med discharge w/ a disability I don't think so. Being just a vet doesn't count if it did there are a lot of us who could hunt there.

Ah, kk. Thanks. My brother-in-law is stationed down in SD on recruitment detail and I've been trying to get him into hunting for a while now...maybe this will entice him as the grounds there sound quite fertile :yahoo:

Rant#1: Anyone who served our country should be able to hunt a military installation, if it can be hunted! Rant#2: Any taxpayer should be able to hunt that military installation too!OK, I feel better now.

Civilians used to be able to hunt the base in certain areas. You had to check in and out of the wardens office on base, and you needed to stay within certain zones on the base for obvious reasons. This was all pre 9/11. After 9/11 they shut it down to all hunting and when they opened it back up again, they restricted it to the list posted above.

Bruce,Here is my rant to your rant...lol :signs165xk: No not really, because we have kicked alot of douchebags out for drugs and other stupid crap; and there are alot of people who have gotten out on BS excuses but still want to take advantage of the veteran discount. Not saying you are one but this is my personal feeling. He** no! Most domestic terrorist are taxpayers and we can't afford to have that crap on base. I also believe that since I'm a taxpayer I should be able to hunt any land that not privately owned....
