I was in the L.A. basin last week on business and noticed a large and tall mountain range just north of Rancho Cucomonga. Is this Mt Baldy? Visited Bass Pro shop there and nobody there knew anything at all about hunting there. Does Bambi reside there?

Yes you can legally hunt in that mt range, it's the San Bernardino National Forest. Since you were at bass pro you should have picked up the map they sell there at the top of the staircase going towards the guns n stuff. Shows hunting areas within the forest. Here is a pic..Posted ImageThis map is $10 there and $4 down the street at turners outdoorsman. Hope this helps,Henry

Yes its baldy and yes you can hunt in that area for deer. But there is alot of wilderness land that is closed to motor vehicals. Get a map and check it out I heard some good things about the area. I think its also one of the new zones that opened for Big horn sheep too.
