They don't have a license to guide. Their name is Feathers and Guns Guide Service. Not sure how they can call themselves guides as there is no record of their phone number or address ever having a guides license.

I know I'm right about who it is because I did several searches and the phone numbers comes back to them. A little more searching and I found their company name, home address and name none of which show up in the F&G guides listings.

Is it common for a water fowl guide to take a shotgun and shoot fowl to.To me it's wrong I am paying to get first on birds not to have the guide shoot to.

In my opionion, it is wrong for the guide to do that. He is getting paid to get you on the birds. He should be setting up decoys, and retrieving your birds; not putting pressure on you.

Maybe someone should bring that add to the attention of F&G?

You should book a hunt with them, take your calf buyer or feed dealer, and when you have a strap full of honkers and its time to pay, tell him that you'll need a receipt with his license number on it because you were planning on writing off the trip as a business expense. :smiley_green_with_envy:

If he's not legit and doesn't have a license to be a guide then he is operating illegally and No One  should be using or sending business his way until he is legit.

At least that is how I feel. :signs1111cr:

It would be different if he has access to properties and takes out his friends or family for free, but to advertise and charge when you don't have a license is not cool. :glare:
