I'm a relatively new hunter. I wanted to know which to head out for on opening day. Is one species more difficult to find later in the season than the other?
Chukar or Quail?

Shoot what you can find. I wouldn't worry about targeting one species or the other.

I would say that quail will be easier to find mainly because they cover much more of the state. Chucker are are usually found in smaller pockets scattered around the state.

My rifle is mine, it isn't for sale, and I only give guns to people that I really like.
