i think its a gadwall but the dark bill is throwing me off.

The long neck purple green on the wings and the gray bill with the black tip. Gadwalls have a large white patch on the wing and are built alot like a small mallerd.But thay also have the black pointed rump. the males will have a brown patch on the front of the wing. Nice going :blink: I do not have my stamps yet. :lol: :( :D

Lucky you didn't shoot the Bull too, that could've been expensive. You might want to get a Duck Identification booklet to keep with you.

Yeppers! It's such a shame we can only shoot one sprig a day. :) They are excelent table fair & the numbers are through the roof. I was expecting to see a change in the reg's this year. Perhaps next year.

I remember in the 70's when it was a 7 Chocolate Head limit, don't think we'll ever see that again.
