My 8 year old son and I went out yesterday and I took my 40fpe .22 cal Rapid MKII and we saw a few squirrels. First one was at a laserd 36 yards and I took aim flicked off the safety and squeezed the trigger and just as the gun fired for a split second I thought it was broke or I didn't fill it up. The gun was so quite, so smooth and no recoil but then I hear this loud thwack and the squirrel flipped over dead. The second one was at a lasered 51 yards and same results. Since I have been shooting my 60FPE .25cal Air Ranger since I got it I forgot how smooth my Rapid was and how big a difference there is between a 40fpe .22 cal and a 60fpe .25cal. Bigger gun equals more power, more kick and more noise.
